Moonlight and Magnolias
Ron Hutchinson's screwball comedy, based loosely on real events, imagines five frantic days in 1939 when producer David O. Selznick locks director Victor Fleming and screenwriter Ben Hecht in his office — feeding them only bananas and peanuts as "brain food" — until they've hammered out a shootable script for Gone with the Wind. It's played largely for farce, though it also carries stretches of social commentary around race and the antisemitism of the era.
